My dad did rehab with Jake for just 4 months. He is 78 years old, a diabetic, tall and skinny. In recent years, due to weakening limbs and poor eyesight, he has fallen a few times. One particularly bad fall led to a fractured jaw, and he was hospitalized for weeks. The most recent fall was in Jan 2021, which left him with a wrist fracture.
With consistent practice and therapy, Jake fixed my Dad’s shoulder injury of 20 years as well.
The 1st session was spent assessing my dad’s condition. Jake gave exercises and therapy to help with strengthening the muscles. He also helped to address my dad’s body/muscles to relieve tension and ensure its functioning properly.
Jake also worked with my dad to correct the way he walks and the way he stands, so to improve balancing and reduce the likelihood of falling.
The journey has been challenging for my dad, as he felt an improvement in his condition was slow, but as he continued with the sessions, and also diligently did the exercises Jake gave him, he soon saw the results he wanted. He now feels more confident with walking, and he feels his steps are more steady and less wobbly.
Credit goes to Jake for his patience and guidance, for encouraging my dad to celebrate every improvement he made during these 4 months. His sessions were always to-the-point, he gave clear instructions on how the homework is to be executed so that my dad knows exactly what to do.
