From postpartum weight loss to antenatal fitness and back to postpartum weight loss, Jake has been paramount in supporting my efforts to maintain good fitness levels these past 2 years. Under his coaching on exercise and curated dietary plans, I was able to experience sustainable results in my body weight, strength and more importantly fitness level, so that I can keep up with my preschoolers.
Jake is also highly knowledgeable and was able to accurately advise on exercises or stretches to do, to effectively relieve strains from exercise injuries or poor postures. There are days when I didn’t stick to our plan, Jake has been most patient. Didn’t give up on me and continued to encourage me so that I get back on track again.
I see coaching under Jake as more than just gaining physical health, it’s also gaining confidence and empowerment. This is especially evident when he introduces different exercise regimes, such as doing strength work through perfecting push-ups, using weight lifting equipment in the gym or learning to skip. It was daunting and I felt apprehensive about my body’s capacity to do it. However, Jake is always very encouraging and will carefully scaffold and before you know it, you are able to do the exercises that you never thought you will be able to do.
As a mummy, we should look good, and feel strong. I am appreciative that Jake is able to help me to achieve these as I journey through different stages of motherhood 🙂
